Best at Fullview size! TRUST ME XD

This was a fun piece in which the pencils were published by Palladiumbooks, in the RIFTERS#45 article: of Bows and Arrows written by author Travis Guerrero. It is a concept featuring a Demon Hunter O.C.C. I chose to depict an action illustration for this new character class and wanted to illustrate something that would exude the craftsmanship of being a bowman versus the common sword-wielding warrior facing a dragon or monster, often depicted in fantasy. The author describe a very valid point in which many players often put heir long bows down and begin using their swords in many games and He wanted to allow for the Archers to hold true to their namesake, so I wanted to illustrate this philosophy to capture the article’s meaning.

The Demon hunter, "Reign" is a monk styled paladin originating from Eltara, the Demon Isle where they originated to specialize in fighting demons. They are known for their demon bows, which are forged from bones of demons in which they channel part of themselves to harmonize with the bow creating deadly demon quelling arrow spells. This takes its toll on the archers as well, but there is no easy way to destroy demons now is there? Reign was actually tracking a demon and felled the demon but was lured onto the frozen Styx River where he faces the awakening Demon dragon. I Imagined a Legolas, with Sub-zero & Raiden all rolled up into one is how I saw this Hunter in combat.

The kaiju styled dragon, “Xierimatis” is a creation of mine, that is a hybrid of an Ice-Dragon and a Reaper demon from the Styx region. The Styx River was frozen by an invasion and Cerberus 8 was loosed to retrieve those who escaped. One of the minions knew that this opportunity would leave Hades wide open both ways and the minion opted to awaken Xierimatis versus facing the heroes. The Minion was slain but not before its goal as it’s final blow struck deep into the dark & deep Styx ice. The rest is clear to see…enjoy

I had planned on painting this image someday but a fellow Artist & good friend of mine (Victor Green) likes to throw art at me from swift productions and I thought I would throw one back this time. Back at ya Vic!
