When I was thinking about test covers for my comic property Dominant Species, I decided to do one myself to let the colorists know what I wanted. The story is sorta different I think. It's set in a future where Werewolves have become a dangerous enemy of mankind, bringing them the brink of extinction. Mans only hope lies in brave warriors who possess a rare gift called THE ESSENCE.
The series owes a great deal to Hong Kong Comics as well as Martial Arts and Creature Oriented horror.
Feel free to let me know what you think.

Thank you so much for your compliments! I am very new here and still picking up on things and learning my way around here. Pretty cool stuff here and loads of it, smile!!! The story is something that I have been working on and fine tuning for some time. Now it is time to produce it. The colr balancing waa challenge with the variety of lights sources, but Hey, I had to go up in there, lol. Thanks again and it really is a motivator.

Thank you. It was a risk but it is the contents of the reality of DS and its characters and setting that required so many colors. I cant wait to see the pages in color though....
:icongreenspoon:
Yeah, I'll keep checking your page to see what other things you create :)

Thank You so much!! DS is a really close to my heart and so are the characters, so to hear such a compliment really makes my day, smile. I must say that with the story, it is a dark one and a tragic one at times and many of the characters, even main ones, will perish in the fight against the werewolves, but hey its the reality of the story when dealing with such adversaries. I think that many werewolf stories simply downplay the reality of the beast and that is something I am looking fwd to reversing in this story. You will not see anyone easily taking out a "DS werewolf", thats for sure.

So Bewere.....smile

ooh
i probably sound sadistic
but i love character death
it really helps the motion of the story
instead of those, 'and they lived happily ever after'
yes, sometimes they bring smiles to my face, but the more realistic the situations
the better for me, especially in a fictional world, helps me to believe, imagine and connect with the characters

I agree whole heartedly! I want to maintian levels of unpredictablity and the dark feeling or mortality in the stroy. I feel that if we can assum that the main charatcers are going to make it, then there is not much need in exposing them to near death scenarios when we know they are automatically going to survive. The chances of mortality increase the feeling of living in the moment
