Artist's Comments

This is a piece I worked on in conjunction with airbrush artists, Jerry Vanderstelt & Rob Prior. I did the pencils and they did the color airbrushing. This piece was the main center limited edition lithograph(1000 only) for the Heavy Metal film promos, featuring 6'1 " Playboy model/actress Julie Strain who signed them. I was told that this one sold out rather quickly, so I am glad to hear that.

Thank you for the Compliments. Yeah Playboy's Julie Strain(She is 6' 1") was used for the Heavy Metal II movie and Flakk series. Louis Royo has also done some great FLAKK HEavy metal pieces of her as well!!!

Well, I was working on a comic book titled "the Lost Heroes." It was a book that was approved and published by Davdez comics. It had the licensing rights to using some famous faces as references. She was one of them. It was her along with almost the entire Babylon 5 cast. i remember her so distinctively because when the creator got back from the photo shoot, the pics of her stood out tremendously. She was top less holding an Alien's pulse rifle...cant forget her at all. Not to mention the lithos were a limited print which sold out.
